Farezul of the mark on Easy Ahead

KUALA LUMPUR:  Aug 1, 2015

Apprentice Mohd Farezul Aziz was off the mark when he partnered EASY AHEAD to victory in the open event at Sungei Besi here today.

With the benefit of four rides behind him, the 26-year-old sat quietly on the Australian gelding just behind the pace, then took him to the front in the home stretch to win by two and a half lengths.

It was the fourth win by the seven-year-old who after just one run in Singapore in early 2012, has been under the charge of Farezul's master Tan Soo Beng.

Only six of the scheduled 10 races were run today. A thunderstorm hit the racecourse after Race 6. Lightning and poor visibility made it unsafe to complete a programme.
