Apprentice jockey Troy See, who is enjoying his best season since he began riding in 2012, took his tally for the year to 18 when successful on DRAGON FURY in the Class 3 - 1400m handicap at Kranji here tonight.

The New Zealand four-year-old was a handy third in the early part of the race but had to find a gap between runners making the home turn as the other runners made up ground on his outside.

Thanks to a determined ride by See, the four-year-old got up in the nick of time to beat STRUBELI by a head for his fourth win of the season, partnered by See on each occasion.

"I think we were lucky we were on the Long Course A tonight. We were able to be up on the speed from barrier No 1 and we had a bit of room on our inside," said See.
