Messi scores second win in Malaysia

When TB Ooi bought a raced three-year-old and named it MESSI, he obviously had a high ambitions for the son of Commands.

The gelding had a modest record of a win in Maiden company at Kembla Grange and a second placing at Wyong from seven starts when he was sold to Ooi for A$23,000 at a thoroughbred sale.

In Malaysia, MESSI has not exactly set the scene on fire but has proven to be consistent, finishing in the money in half of his 19 starts to date.

With Harmeet Singh Gill in the saddle today, MESSI easily accounted for his six rivals to notch his second win in the Class 4 - 1700m handicap.
