Reaching only favourite to
win in KL KUALA LUMPUR:

Favourites took a beating
in the eight-race programme here this afternoon, with five of them finishing
out of the money.
REACHING was the only
favourite to oblige in the Class 4 - 1100m handicap, but he paid a generous
RM23 in a wide-betting race.
The New Zealand gelding was
racing for the first time for trainer Mohd Sukri, having won once in 15
previous outings.
REACHING was the second leg
of a double for Sukri who earlier sent out KIM ABILITY to victory in a Class
5 - 1300m event.
Trainer Lawson Moy was the
other who had a double for the day while Ipoh trainer Peter Lee denied the
home based trainers a clean sweep by winning the Maiden - 1600m event with
APROBACION.
