My Lucky Strike on target again

Since landing in Singapore as a maiden, MY LUCKY STRIKE has shown nothing but remarkable improvement with each run.

With Manoel Nunes back in the saddle after missing the gelding's last win through suspension, the Australian three-year-old toyed with his six rivals when he romped home by two and a half lengths in the Kranji Stakes A - 1000m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

It was his sixth win in seven starts in Singapore.

MY LUCKY STRIKE raced thrice as a juvenile in Australian for a third over 1000m at Caulfield and a second over 900m at Sandown.

But he was an instant hit at Kranji with four straight wins before failing over 1200m (his first start over the distance) two starts back.

"There is not much of him, but he’s very quick and is a real top-class sprinter," said trainer Mark Walker who plans to stick to 1000m and 1100m for now before another attempt over a longer trip.
