Thamil lands first win on Alex Five O

It was a bad day at the office for punters here today when they had to wait until the last event of the eight-race card to see a favourite crossed the line first.

Even then, the runaway win by NOT FREE NOW in a Class 5 - 1600m handicap was not much of a consolation as the five-year-old started odds-on and paid RM8 for a win.

NOT FREE NOW was also a runaway winner over 1400m in his maiden win on this track two weeks ago and had no problem seeing out the longer trip today.

While the punters moaned, there was happy news for apprentice Thamilchelvam Arumugam who landed his first winner on ALEX FIVE O.

It was also the maiden win for four-year-old who is trained by his master, trainer Bonny Ng, in nine starts.
