Nine-year-old VALENTINE
BABY showed that there is plenty of fight left in him when he defeated the
hot favourite CONFRERE in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap at Sungei Besi here
today.
Apprentice Deneskumar
Paskaran had the New Zealand gelding tucked on the rails racing in midfield
on settling down, then received a dream run on the inside of the pacemaker
KIM DIVA making the home bend.
VALENTINE BABY tackled KIM
DIVA at the 300m and soon after CONFRERE joined in the fight but the former
was going too well in the closing stages, winning by one and a quarter
lengths.
It was the seventh win in
63 for VALENTINE BABY but his first since August 2013.
Deneskumar and his mater
Lawson Moy then combined again to win with JET COSMO in a Class 5 - 1700m
event, giving the pair their first winners of the 2015 season.
