Trainer Danis lands comeback win

Trainer Luke Danis saddled his first winner since making a comeback last September when REYSHA won a Class 5 - 1600m handicap at Sungei Besi here today.

Danis was based in Penang when he quit the game last year and later in November, the former jockey join Anna Scott as assistant trainer.

Danis regained his full licence three months ago and a dozen horses under his care at the moment.

REYSHA picked up one win for Danis in 2013 before the gelding headed to Singapore where he also managed one win.

REYSHA returned to Malaysia this year and won first-up for Scott before Danis took over and this today's outing was his third for his original trainer, who paid NZ$60,000 for him at the Ready To Run Sale in 2011.
