for Fairdeal Stable

Fairdeal Stable do not race many
horses these days and it has been a while since they have a top-notch
galloper in their name.
But in DISTINCTIVE DARCI, they might have one to bring them honours once
again.
Fairdeal Stable won the 1999 Singapore Derby with PAR EXCELLENCE and in the
same year picked up the Queen Elizabeth II Cup with BEYOND EXPECTATION.
A CLASS ABOVE II, owned by Fairdeal No 2 Stable, bagged the Queen Elizabeth
II Cup in 1998.
The stable were also part-owner of BOCELLI who won the Singapore Derby and
Queen Elizabeth II Cup in 2001.
DISTINCTIVE DARCI, bought for NZ$100,000 as a yearling, stepped up on a
debut second and a subsequent fourth-place finish in the Group 2 Aushorse
Golden Horsehoe to win his next four starts.
Partnered by Manoel Nunes, the second favourite came from just off the pace
to the favourite FORTUNE WINNER by 1 1/2 lengths in the Class 3 - 1200m
sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.
"This
horse keeps improving all the time," said champion trainer Mark Walker.
"It’s hard for a three-year-old to win four in a row. It gives me even more
satisfaction as I also trained his sire Darci Brahma."
