Raise No Doubt in thrilling win

After two failed attempts in group races, RAISE NO DOUBT is ready for another crack at one in the Group 3 Kranji Sprint in three weeks' time.

The Australian five-year-old earned the chance after a hard-fought win in the Benchmark 89 - 1200m sprint at Kranji here today.

Jockey Vlad Duric found himself well off the pace after the start. "We got smashed at the start. A horse knocked us off and we got shuffled back, but the fast tempo suited us," said the Aussie.

Duric was able to bring RIASE NO DOUBT through the field in the home stretch and prevailed by a neck in a four-way photo. It was the sixth win in 15 starts in Singapore for the gelding who was placed once in three runs as a juvenile in Australia before coming up here.

Duric, who has scored on MR SCORSESE earlier in the day, went on to score on TIGER BAY for his second treble in two weeks.
