strong in upset win PENANG:

After
finishing last in his debut two weeks ago, FIELD FORCE sprang a huge
surprise when he coasted to an easy win in the Open Maiden - 1300m event
here today.
Drawn the extreme wide barrier in a field of 10, apprentice Tham Kin Chong
managed to take the lead on the son of Nicconi when the field settled down.
And the three-year-old was never caught, winning by 1 3/4-lengths to pay
RM512.
FIELD FORCE was purchased by trainer Evelyn Seet for A$18,000 but the
gelding was transferred to Nor Azman before making his debut.
Former Singapore galloper OUR RIVER DANCER made an instant impact in
Malaysia when he prevailed in a three-way photo in a debut win.
The Danehill Dancer gelding scored back-to-back wins in the middle of last
year but after four more outings without success, he moved up north to join
Sharee Hamilton.
