WORLD HARMONY, who won seven races
in the past two years, finally notched his first of the season with a
last-ditch victory in the Enrich Stakes A - 1200m event here today.
With GOLDEN BRILLIANT setting a brisk pace and LEMON LAW tracking him from
the start, WORLD HARMONY settled in third spot on the rails well off the
pace.
After LEMON LAW raced past the tiring pacemaker at the 200m, WORLD HARMONY
began to pick up ground on the new leader and managed to catch him in the
final few strides to claim victory by a neck.
His comeback win pushed WORLD HARMONY's earnings to just pass the RM300,000
mark, not bad for a horse who cost only NZ$7,000 at the Ready To Run sale.
Malaysian bred TRIPLE COIN, who started racing in December 2008, showed that
he still has it in him at the right old age of 10 when he took the opening
event. It was his 12th win in 94 starts, a testimony to his durability and
courage.
