After more than three years, LISTEN is finally regaining
the kind of form that got him so much attention as when he first arrived in
Singapore.
In early 2013, the son of Iffraaj won his first two
starts on the polytrack and four runs later, scored a win on the turf at
Kranji as well.
But the New Zealand gelding failed to make any progress
after that and was shipped over to Kuala Lumpur in the latter part of 2014.
But six starts under two different trainers later, LISTEN
joined Anna Scott and immediately started to show up again with a fourth, a
third, then a comeback win last December.
LISTEN followed up the comeback this season with three
wins and a third from four starts, causing a surprise in the Selangor Gold
Cup (1600m) in April.
And the six-year-old showed that
his last start win was no fluke when he again captured the Enrich Stakes A
event over 1400m here today.
