Nova Strike on target for first turf win

After five wins on the polytrack, NOVA STRIKE showed that he is just as lethal on the turf surface when he scored his biggest win yet in the Benchmark 83 event over 1400m at Kranji here tonight.

The New Zealand gelding recently contested all three legs of the Three-Year-Old Challenge, finishing second to DEBT COLLECTOR in the Classic over 1400m.

The son of Red Giant followed up his last-start success in a Benchmark 74 event to win again today, bringing his record to six wins and five placings from 15 starts.

"This horse keeps improving all the time and he scored a nice first win on turf tonight," said trainer Alwin Tan, who leads the table with 45 wins after NOVA STRIKE's success.
