  After exasperating run of minor placings since his last success in June last year, WIMBELDON returned to the winner's circle with a upset win over some big names in the Enrich Stakes A sprint over 1200m at Kranji here tonight, an evening his trainer James Peters will not forget for a long time.

The Englishman enjoyed his best meeting yet since taking over from his former mentor Michael Freedman earlier this year by saddling four winners.

WIMBLEDON was placed twice in group races last year and once this season and he came right once again to notch his sixth win in 27 starts.

"This horse keeps improving all the time and he’s done a great job tonight," said Peters.

Earlier, Peters sent out WHITE HUNTER to beat the odds-on favourite ALIBI in the Benchmark 89 - 1400m handicap and followed up in the next race with ARCHER COMPANY.

Peters wound up the evening taking the last event with NIGHT FLIGHT.
