Nunes returns with a double

After sitting out the last four meetings due to kidney stones, Manoel Nunes came back with a 'bang' when he scored in his very first ride at Kranji here tonight.

After seeing Vlad Duric snatching the lead in the jockey's table with a second winner a race later, Nunes completed a double of his own to take back the lead, with both riders having 35 winners for the season thus far.

Duric, who has been closing the gap on Nunes in the latter's absence, struck first with MILLENNIUM'S RULE who was a first-up second in his debut a month ago and started a raging favourite at S$9.

Nunes immediately replied with NOVA STRIKE who chalked up his fifth win in 14 starts, thrice with Nunes on board.

SUPER LINE scored a runaway win in his debut to give Duric his second winner of the night but Nunes had the last say when he partnered WHITE HUNTER to victory in the last event. He was riding the Australian gelding for the first time.
