Al Valore gets new lease of life

AL VALORE, dispatched to Malaysia after a series of dismal performances in the second half of 2015 at Kranji, has been a model of consistency in his new country.

After finding one to beat in his first two starts in Malaysia, the Australian gelding broke through with an easy win in a Class 4 - 1100m sprint here last July.

AL VALORE again found one to beat in his next outing, but proved too classy in a Class 4 - 1400m handicap here today.

Bought by Michael Freeman for A$160,000 as a yearling, AL VALORE races 10 times in Singapore for two wins but went amiss after that. Apparently, a move to a new environment was what the gelding needed.
