Treble for Woodworth and Robert

Jockey Benny Woodworth and trainer Cecil Robert had their best days for a long while when they combined to land three winners here today.

Woodworth, now based in Singapore but shuttles back to ride in Malaysia on Saturdays, had a winning start with BLACK VISCOUNT, a horse he had partnered to success once on this track back in January. It was the fifth win in 32 starts for the Viscount five-year-old.

Woodworth had ridden LAZAROO five times without success back in 2010, but the fortune changes this time when he piloted the ten-year-old to his 11th win in 75 starts.

Twice in 2013, Woodworth did not finish the race when riding EQUALLY OPTIMISTIC as the gelding had bled on both occasions.

It was much happier partnership this time around when the pair romped to an easy win the final race. The Australian gelding has now 8 wins in 59 starts.
