Big Boss back in charge after long spell

A recent change of name has certainly brought about a change of fortune for MORE THAN WORDS, now known as BIG BOSS.

The Australian struck a bright patch from mid-2015 to early last year when he won three of four starts, including an Enrich Stakes A event.

But after finishing second and a fourth in his next two appearances, BIG BOSS was sidelined for nearly one year due to various problems.

Boss Stable, who purchased the gelding last month decided to rename the six-year-old.

In his first start under his new name, BIG BOSS created a mild surprise when he jumped brilliantly and had a clear lead early. But jockey CK Tan eased him to settle just behind the pace.

At the top of the straight BIG BOSS tackled the leaders and battled away to a half-length win. It was his sixth win in 26 starts and the first outing for trainer Nor Azman.
