Double for trainer
Wong before rain
KUALA LUMPUR:
Jun 17, 2017 |
|
Ipoh trainer Wong Kong Fatt struck early to secure a
double before rain curtailed proceedings after just four races have been
run.
UNCLE GLORY, whose last win came in May 2015, bounced back to form with an
all-the-way win in the opening event, proving 'third time lucky' for Calvin
Goon who rode him twice last year without success.
It's the fifth win in 42 starts for Australian gelding.
HERE COMES THUNDER proved that he still has what it takes when he made all
the running in the following race, defeating the favourite D'GREAT WALL by 3
3/4 lengths.
It was the 11-year-old's 12th win in 108 runs starting in November 2009 in
Singapore where he won his Kranji debut butwas unplaced in nine starts after
that.
