Colin The Firth lands comeback win

It has been a long trek back to the winner's circle for former top galloper COLIN THE FIRTH.

The Australian gelding won twice in 2011 and the following season picked up four victories including the Malaysia 3YO Championship final.

COLIN THE FIRTH was third to JOE CZARINA in the Perak Gold Vase in 2013 but has otherwise been disappointing for the past three seasons and a half.

Now nine years old, COLIN THE FIRTH showed a glimpse of his past form when he finished second here last week. That promoted punters to send out odds-on favourite today and the veteran galloper repaid his backers with an easy win.

Home based trainers again swept the card, winning all nine races for the second day in a row.
