Kabali playing out well in Malaysia

The grass is definitely greener this side of the causeway for KABALI, who is named after the 2016 Tamil-language gangster-drama film.

The son of Dash For Cash managed just two placings in 15 starts in Singapore. But since joining trainer Luke Danis late last year, the six-year-old has picked up three wins, two seconds and a third in as many starts in Malaysia.

Ridden by Mohd Manif, KABALI defied a promotion when he came from well off the pace to win drawing away by 1 1/2 lengths in a Class 4 - 1600m handicap at Sungei Besi here today.

KABALI raced twice at three, managing a third before coming over to Singapore.
