Kuantan Hill lands third win in 2017

Second time's the charm for KUANTAN HILL and his trainer Stephen Cook.

When Cook first handled the Australian gelding in 2013 and early 2014, they yielded one third and two fourth placings from six starts.

KUANTAN HILL went to another trainer in mid-2015 and he was unplaced in three starts, after which injury forced him to miss racing for one whole year.

Back with Cook last year, KUANTAN HILL broke through for his maiden in his third outing and this year has been even more successful.

Partnered by Firman Yap, the six-year-old came from midfield to beat ITS ONLY MONEY by a head in the General Trong III 1973 Handicap here today. It was his third win of the season from six starts.
