Lucky Six wins at big odds

LUCKY SIX picked up his sixth win in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1200m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

But unlike his last success three runs back when he started second favourite and paid $16 for a win, he started at long odds and returned $203.

Promoted a class after his last win, LUCKY SIX was unplaced in two runs last month but benefited from the outings.

Ridden by Mohd Zaki who rode him twice before, finishing third on both occasions, the six-year-old nailed the front-running ELISE right on the line, winning by a nose.

"He’s always been racing in good form and tonight he was around his winning weight of 510 to 515kgs," said trainer Leticia Dragon. "He is pretty honest and he has put in another gear in the last couple of months."
