SONG TO THE MOON has emerged as a Derby prospect after he passed yet another stamina test with a gutsy display at Kranji here today.

Two starts back, the New Zealand gelding came from a long way back to snatch victory by a short head in a Class 4 - 1800m handicap last Occtber.

Racing for the first time for new trainer Ricardo Le Grange today, SONG TO THE MOON again showed his fighting quality when he nailed the front-running GLORIOUS PROSPECT by a short head in the Class 4 - 2000m event.

It the third win eight starts for the gelding who was bought for NZ$230,000 at the Ready To Run sale.

"He’s getting better and better as he races over a bit of ground,” said Le Grange. "He scored a very nice win and he could be a Derby prospect for us."
