Awesome comeback win for Noh

Noh Sanari, who made a comeback to racing just this month, repaid the faith newly-minted trainer Saimee Jumaat had in him when he piloted AWESOME to victory in the Class 3 - 1200m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.

Showing that he has not lost his previous touch, Noh droved AWESOME home among a wall of horses to claim victory by a head.

The New Zealand gelding surprisingly paid $135 and as it was his fourth win in his last six outings. He has now five wins in 16 starts.

It has been three years since for former high-riding apprentice — second to A'Isisuhairi Kassim in the table in 2014 — saluted the judge at Kranji.

After falling out with former master Michael Freedman, Noh found himself with very limited opportunities both in Singapore and later six months in New Zealand.

"It’s a good feeling, it’s good to be back riding a winner," said Noh who was quickly to thank the Singapore Turf Club for giving him a second chance and Saimee for the faith he has in him.
