After enduring a frustrating period of 12 months, MR SCORSESE is finally back in form with two wins in his last three starts.

The New Zealand gelding's career got off to a flying start when he won his first two starts early last year.

And it was only on Mar 24 when the son of Pentire got back into the winner's circle when he won a Class 4 - 1200m sprint.

At Kranji here tonight, MR SCORSESE was tested over 1600m for only the second time in his career and he came out with flying colours, winning easily by 1 1/2 lengths in the Class 3 contest.

"It was the best Class 3 race I have seen for a while, and I’m really looking forward to his next runs," said trainer Laurie Laxon of the win. "He is definitely my Derby horse as he is bred to stay."
