Moon delights with first Singapore win

Moon Se Young scored his first win astride THUNDER CAT at Kranji here tonight, and became the first South Korean jockey to find success in Singapore.

THUNDER CAT was his only ride for the evening and 14th since he began his three-month Singapore stint on May 19.

Moon showed just why he is eight times champion in South Korea when he judged the pace to perfection, bringing THUNDER CAT from a long way back early to win drawing by 3/4-length in the Class 4 - 1000m sprint on the polytrack.

"I’m very happy I won my first race in Singapore," said Moon. "I’ve had some support since I came here, and I hope this win will bring me even more support from other trainers from now on."

THUNDER CAT has now won five times from 40 runs.
