Super Tycoon in runaway maiden win

After finishing on the board in his last four starts, SUPER TYCOON opened his accounts in style when he trashed his rivals in the Restricted Maiden - 1400m event at Kranji here tonight.

Stepping up on his third to WEBSTER early this month, the O'Reilly gelding, partnered by Barend Vorster for the first time, made all the running to win by six lengths.

It was the maiden win in six starts for the three-year-old who was originally bought by Michael Freedman/Waterford Bloodstock for NZ$180,000 at the Ready To Run sale.

After three runs early this year, SUPER TYCOON was transferred to Ricardo Le Grange and tonight's outing was his third for his new trainer.

WEBSTER made it to the winner's circle again when he also romped home by 3 3/4 lengths in the Novice - 1200m event to make it two wins from three starts.
