Windchaser catches maiden win

After a disappointing campaign in Australia, WINDCHASER finally nailed his maiden win when he easily accounted for an Open Maiden event over 1300m here today.

The son of Denman was bought by Tan Sri Vincent Tan and his son Datuk Robin Tan for A$320,000 as a yearling. After missing his juvenile season, WINDCHASER raced three times at three for a second at Geelong.

Shipped over to Malaysia, WINDCHASER showed up for the first time in an similar event two weeks ago before his breakthrough win today.

After managing just one win in 10 starts in Singapore, PROFESSOR X is finding that the grass is greener in this side of the causeway.

Ridden by Thai Yang Singh, the Argentinean gelding beat the favourite WORLD HARMONY after a hard-fought battle to win by a head and paid RM84 for a win despite having won his last start just seven days ago.

PROFESSOR X has now starts three times in Malaysia for two wins and a third.
