Perfect night for Zawari with double

Malaysian apprentice Zawari Razali enjoyed a perfect evening, winning his only two rides on LIM'S SIGNATURE and VIVIANO at Kranji here tonight.

The double brought his tally to 11 for the season.

From the inside barrier, LIM'S SIGNATURE found himself racing three-deep but Zawari got the gelding going at the right moment.

LIM'S SIGNATURE charged home to win by a neck for his maiden win in nine starts in the opening race tonight.

VIVIANO, who last won in January, came from last at the home turn to win drawing away by one length in the Benchmark 83 - 1200m sprint.

It was the first time Zawari has ridden by the gelding who has now seven wins in 20 starts.

"I would like to thank my boss Mark Walker for his support and for putting me on two good horses tonight," said Zawari. "I never rode this horse (Viviano) in a race before, but I worked him and he galloped very well this week. He gave me a very good feel."
