She's may seem past her prime but
TEEN ANGEL showed she can still raise a gallop with a runaway win the
Geraldton Handicap over 1000m here today.
LEE'S SURPRISE set a cracking pace in the Class 5 event with TEEN ANGEL (Khaw
Choon Kit) among the chasing pack. The mare went after the leader passing
the 400m and shot to the front 150m out to win by 2 1/2 lengths.
It was the first win by TEEN ANGEL, now 12 years old, since November 2016
when Khaw was also the winning rider. The mare has now picked up three wins
in Malaysia after chalking five in Singapore. It was her 99th outing.
Two eight-year-olds were also amongst the winners today.
MILITARY STAR picked up his fifth win in 51 starts while MAYWEATHER recorded
his sixth, his first since April last year, in 60 outings.
