Pisces Star shines again after long lapse

PISCES STAR bounced back to form after one and a half years to create an upset in the Lightning Fast 1961 Stakes, an Enrich Stakes A event over the 1100m straight course here today.

Among the leading bunch throughout, the Australian gelding had to fight hard all the way. Sandwiched between TIDAL WAVE and TARZAN BOY in the final 300m, apprentice CK Khaw had to switch his whip back-and-forth between his right and left hand.

PISCES STAR eventually got going in the closing stages to beat TARZAN BOY by a neck.

PISCES STAR has won every season since making his debut in 2013 but drew a blank last year. Today’s win was his 12th in 64 starts.

Apprentice Lim Aun Kean enjoyed his best afternoon when he booted home three winners in the card of 11: JETSTAR EAGLE, JOYFUL and FIELD FORCE.

For nine-year-old JOYFUL, it was his 10th win in 85 starts.
