Sing Darci on song
for the first time

SING DARCI might have been placed
just once (three runs back) in seven previous starts, but punters were right
on the mark when they installed him favourite in a Class 5 - 1400m handicap
here today.
Ridden by Mohd Yusri for the first time, the son of Darci Brahma settled
fourth and moved up third at the home turn, all the time pulling hard behind
the leaders.
Once Yusri brought him out for a him to the post, SING DARCI opened up in
fine style in the soft going to win as he liked by 4 3/4 lengths.
Trainer Charles Leck managed to saddle two winners in the the six-race card
with two former Singapore gallopers. HAPPY DAYZ, unplaced at Kranji, was
winning for the third time for Leck.
SUPER JOY, a three-time winner Singapore, returned to form after more than
one year to register his second win in Malaysia.
