Sun Dance makes another winning move

It's amazing the transformation SUN DANCE has gone through after moving from Singapore to Malaysia.

At Kranji, the son of Onemorenomore won just once (in August 2016) in 44 starts. Last April, he was sold to new owners and transferred to Malaysia to join trainer Simon Dunderdale.

SUN DANCE was an instant hit in the country, winning his Malaysian debut last Aug 12 and this was followed by a runaway six-length win two weeks later.

Normally, owners resort to renaming their horses when looking for a change of luck. Despite two-wins-from-two for SUN DANCE, they still applied for a change of name to FIRST DANCE.

But before the new name officially takes effect, SUN DANCE has gone on to win his next two starts, on Sep 9 and again in a Class 4 - 1400m handicap at Sungei Besi here today. And jockey Jose De Souza is the winning rider in all four occasions.

Home based trainers made a clean sweep of the 12 races on the card today.
