Black Swan glides to another win

Late bloomer BLACK SWAN has started the new season on a bright note after picking up three wins last year following a fruitless 2015 and 2016.

The Sebring gelding started favourite in the Class 3 - 1700m handicap on the polytrack after opening the season with a second to MAXIMUS over 1600m last month.

BLACK SWAN, ridden by 2007 Melbourne Cup (EFFICIENT) winning jockey
Michael Rodd, overcame a stubborn PANACHE, to win by half a length.

Rodd, who also won the Singapore Gold Cup on GILT COMPLEX last year, went on to land two more winners, PRINCE FERDINAND and SIAM GEMSTONE to climb to the top of the 2018 jockey's table with nine winners.

Both PRINCE FERDINAND and SIAM GEMSTONE are second-time winners.
