Sea World rises again for 12th win

SEA WORLD marked his 50th outing in style by winning the Stakes A set-weight event at Sungei Besi Here today.

Ridden by apprentice Laercio De Souza, the son of Spinning World tracked pacemaker ROC THAT on settling down before racing past him in the home stretch to win by 3/4 length from SHELLOMADA who made a gallant effort in the closing stages. 

It was SEA WORLD's first win since September last year and the Australian seven-year-old, who cost just A$20,000 as a yearling, has now 12 wins to his name.

SEA WORLD has had several attempts in the big races in the past year and his best effort was a third to TRUSON in the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor last August.

Meanwhile, HK DOLLAR and US DOLLAR cashed in their first win after a frustrating campaign.

For HK DOLLAR, it was lucky 13 for the Australian gelding in the opening event.

For US DOLLAR, it was her first win in 18 starts in Malaysia when she made all the running in a Class 5 - 1200m handicap.

The Australian mare had raced for three seasons Down Under for three wins in 16 starts.
