Flying Baby takes off in Malaysia

Originally imported to Singapore, FLYING BABY put behind his troubled months at Kranji when he scored second-up here today.

The Sidereus gelding won twice and was placed three times in six starts as a juvenile in Queensland. Turning three, he was on board in four of six outings without winning before flying out to Singapore last April.

But FLYING BABY never got to race at Kranji and instead headed to Penang to join trainer Lim Hoon Seng.

After finishing fourth in his debut last week, the four-year-old followed up to come from off the pace early to pass the front runners with ease in the final 300m to win by three-quarter length.
