Beuzelin on a high with hat-trick

A pair of maidens and a debut runner gave French jockey Louis-Philippe Beuzelin not only a fillip but his best day yet at the office at Kranji here tonight.

Since arriving in August, Beuzelin managed just two wins from 40 rides prior to this evening's action.

The 28-year-old quickly doubled the score by taking the first two races on JUPITER DRAGON and CELAVI.

JUPITER DRAGON, who cost A$110,000 as a yearling, was placed twice in his first 10 runs. Following a sequence of five unplaced outings, the four-year-old came to life with an upset win to pay $76.

CELAVI was bought for A$100,000 as a 2YO at the Horses In Training Sale and quickly displayed her potential with a three-length win in her debut.

BEUZELIN was not done, not when you are riding on the crest of a wave.

After sitting out the next race, Beuzelin was back in the winner's circle with SHANGANI who broke through with his maiden win in 20 starts after being placed four times previously.

"It’s been ups and downs but I went to Mr Michael Clements from the beginning, and though it took a while to get rides from him, it’s been going in the right direction," said Beuzelin.

"I’m working for him every morning. I’m happy there, it’s a pleasure to work for such a team. In saying this, I’m thankful for the support of other trainers. I’m enjoying my time here."
