course record in seventh win

PANDA BOMB
broke a course record
which had stood for 22 years when he stopped the clock at 1min. 21.1secs
over 1400m on the long course at Sungei Besi here yesterday.
The record stood for just 24 hours.
BROWCOW, with already six wins to his credit in 21 starts, breezed through
the same course and distance in the Metro A set-weight event today in 1min.
21secs, shaving just 0.1 second yesterday's record.
BROWCOW (late Atlantic Gold) was very consistent as a two and three-year-old
in Australia with a win and eight placings in 10 starts.
The son of Street Cry quickly made his mark in Malaysia, winning his debut
in November 2016 and has been consistent since.
Meanwhile, FORSA ECLIPSE equalled the 1200m record on the short course when
he scored a runaway win in the Restricted Maiden event.
The Showcasing gelding made all the running to win by 4 3/4 lengths and
clocked 1:08.3 which was first set by former top galloper CAPTAIN OBVIOUS in
2011.
FORSA ECLIPSE was purchased for NZ$110,000 as a two-year-old and had
finished second in his debut last December.
