Low and Dunderdale win Challenge

Jackson Low and Simond Dunderdale have emerged as the top jockey and trainer respectively during the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor meeting over the weekend.

The Selangor Turf Club designated 15 races where the winner received nine point, runner-up four points and the third place finisher two points.

Low won two races each on Saturday and Sunday including the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor on D'GREAT TIMING. His other winners in the Challenge races were LIM'S PERSHING and MASTER JIANGMEN (Saturday) and SUPERSTARDOM (Sunday).

Second in the jockey's challenge was Bernardo Pinheiro with 32 points and Ruzaini Sani came third with 23 points. After drawing a blank yesterday, Pinheriro scored on EBRAZ and AFFLECK today.

With three winners yesterday - UNSURPASSED, LIM'S PERSHING and BUENOS AIRES - Dunderdale was a runaway winner amongst the trainers with 35 points.

Leck saddled two winners, HIGH COUNCIL and SUPERSTARDOM, today to finish second with 26 points. Third was Richard Lines (22 points) who was successful with WINGED FOOT and MYO today.

The winners took home RM10,000 each while the runners-up and the third placed jockey and trainer received RM3,000 each.
