Lim's Craft bounces back in style

Promising galloper LIM'S CRAFT bounced back from his last-start defeat (second to FAME STAR) to captured the Class 3 - 1200m handicap at Kranji here tonight to make three wins in his last four runs.

Since he began his campaign last March, the Smart Missile gelding has won four of eight outings.

Ridden by Benny Woodworth who has been onboard in his last four appearances, the three-year-old settled his midfield before making his move. It took a while for him to get going in the home stretch but once he did in the final 200m, he quickly swept past the leaders to win drawing away by 1 3/4 lengths.

"We always thought he had plenty of upsides, the way he did it tonight was very good,' said trainer Steven Burridge. "We’ll have to step him up, probably in Class 2 and over further as well."

FIELD MARSHAL, meanwhile, is unbeaten in three starts after battling his way to victory in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1200m handicap on the polytrack.

He also made his charge in the final 200m after coming from a long way back early to win a short head.
