MR DREYFUSS staged a dramatic
turnaround of form to win a Class 5 - 1200m handicap here today.
The New Zealand gelding has been unplaced in his last eight starts after
being placed in three consecutive races in the middle of last year. Worse
still, he has finished no better than 12th in his five outings.
Not surprisingly, MR DREYFUSS started at long odds today but shocked punters
with a runaway win.
After settling in midfield, MR DREYFUSS was still several lengths from the
leader TRIPLE COIN at the top of the straight. But he opened up in fine
style in the final 200m, not only overhauled the leader but kicked away to
win by 5 1/4 lengths. He paid RM63.
MR DREYFUSS had a brief,
unsuccessful campaign in Singapore before moving to Malaysia where he has
now picked up six wins.
