Trinity Grace easy winner in Trinity Glory Cup

Today's meeting was to celebrate the entry of Trinity Club as a racing sponsor, with all races named after the mega international entertainment outfit.

But the main prize of the day, the Trinity Glory Cup, went to the sponsors themselves when TRINITY GRACE easily captured the Class 4 handicap which was switched from the 1400m on the short course to 1000m over the straight course.

Two other races, Races 9 and 10, also saw a last minute switch from 1000m on the short course to the straight course due the track conditions.

TRINITY GRACE was placed once in six runs in Australia and came over from Singapore where he won his last start in his ninth appearance at Kranji as BELT AND ROAD.

After a slow start to his new career in Malaysia, TRINITY GRACE has been a model of consistency with a win and seven placings in his last eight outings.

The six-year-old stepped up on his last start second, when racing for the first time after a change of name and under new trainer Lim Shung You, to make all the running today, romping home by 3 3/4 lengths.
