Duric celebrates title hattrick with Pennywise

Vlad Duric signed off on another championship season with four winners on the final day of racing in Singapore today, taking the final feature of the year, the Singapore 3 Colonial Chief Stakes on PENNYWISE.

Earlier in the year, the Pure Prize gelding failed to impress in all three legs of the Three-Year-Old series but he has picked up two wins since prior his final outing of 2019 today.

Duric, who has not partnered PENNYWISE before, brought him from well off the pace early to snatch victory by a short head in the 1600m event.

Duric's four wins brought his tally to 88 for the season, 20 ahead of Benny Woodworth who enjoyed his best season yet in Singapore. Duric won the 2017 title with 80 wins and last year, he booted home 73 winners.
