Singapore to reduce meetings in April

SINGAPORE:  Mar 27, 2020

Singapore Turf Club will reduce the frequency of local racedays to only once a week for the month of April. The retained fixtures are:

Friday, April 3
Friday, April 10
Friday, April 17
Friday, April 24

The Saturday meetings on April 4, 18 and 25 have been cancelled.

The above measure is part of the implementation of stricter precautionary measures taken by the Club in line with the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Advisory on "Tighter Measures to Minimise Further Spread of COVID-19 dated 24 March 2020".

The other two measures effective from today are the staging of all Singapore race meetings without members of the public admitted into the Singapore Racecourse, and the temporary discontinuation of overseas simulcast races at the Singapore Racecourse.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, all race meetings have been cancelled since March 14 until further notice.

Malaysia is currently observing Movement Control Order which was implemented on March 18 and will last until April 14 at least. Under the order, residents other than those in essential services are required to stay at home. Only the head of a family may leave the house to purchase food.
