Unplaced in seven starts in Singapore, NEVERTHELESS has proved to be a very useful sort since relocating to Malaysia in late 2017.

The Sakhee's Secret gelding won his second start in the country in early 2018 and picked up two more wins later that year.

And now, after a lapse of some 23 months, NEVERTHELESS is back in winning form and better than ever.

Ridden by Wong Kam Chong for the first time inthe Cosmo C set-weight event over 1600m today, the seven-year-old settled in third spot before challenging for the lead at the same time as PENDRAGON PRINCESS.

The pair drew away in the closing stages to fight it out but NEVERTHELESS proved the stronger at the end, winning by two lengths to make it a hattrick. His record now reads 6 wins in 33 starts.
