With two fourth-place finishes in Group 1 at two and three in Great Britain, THREEANDFOURPENCE is stamping his class with two unbeaten runs this season, after trying to find his footing with just a win in seven runs last year.

Michael Rodd brought the American bred from near last to win the Class 3 - 1600m handicap at Kranji here tonight, in similar fashion to his victory in a Kranji Stakes B event last month.

"This horse has taken a while to settle in like most horses from England, but in the last two months, he has hit his straps," said the Australian jockey. "His acceleration going downhill was phenomenal. He doesn’t like to run among horses, so it was a big effort to go again and come over the top of them."

THREEANDFOURPENCE campaigned for two seasons in Europe, USA and Dubai for two minor wins but he was fourth in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket at two and fourth in the Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh at three.

The now five-year-old will have a big say in the big races later in the season.
