White Hoof Bird flies to fifth consecutive win

WHITE HOOF BIRD, racing after a short let-up, swiftly picked up where he left off with an easy win in the Supreme B set-weight event over 1300m at Sungei Besi here today.

The Denman gelding has taken the local scene by storm, winning all his four starts last year when racing as GOOD JOB.

Sold to new owner last December and renamed, WHITE HOOF BIRD toyed with the opposition today before winning by 1 3/4 lengths.

The Australian gelding came to Malaysia with a record of one win and three placings in 11 starts Down Under and he has been totally transformed by trainer Johnny Lim.

WHITE HOOF BIRD looks the red hot favourite to win the 4YO Challenge crown when he series take off next month.

With last year's 3YO Championship vacated because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the three Malaysian Clubs initiated the 4YO Challenge this year to give last year's crop of 3YOs a chance to put against each other in an age-group contest.

The three Clubs will stage three races each worth RM50,000 each. Points will be awarded to the first three finishers in each race and the horse with the highest points will receive RM50,000.
