My Goodness keeps form despite long spell

KUALA LUMPUR:  Oct 30, 2021

Selangor Turf Club races at Sungei Besi here today was cut short after just two races have been run due to inclement weather.

MY GOODNESS, racing for the first time since winning his race last December, made all the running to take the opening event by 2 1/4 lengths, upsetting the favourite D'GREAT WIN.

The son of Danehill Express gelding has now won six of 44 starts since arriving in Malaysia in 2016.

RESOLUTE, who won his second start in the country two weeks ago, followed up on that success to capture the second event.

The Dissident gelding had a win and a second in 11 starts in Singapore before making the move up north.

Following a track inspection as a result of heavy rain after Race 2, the panel of stewards deemed the track to be unsafe for racing given the surface water at the 975m mark and other sections of the track. Acting in accordance with the safety of the riders and horses, the remainder of the race programme was abandoned at 2:05pm.
